Hi folks,
Since our next monthly meeting will be this Monday October 21 at 3 PM EST/12 PM PST I am sending out a proposed agenda<https://docs.google.com/document/d/11Tsyz0gyRmKXdMQLPwbda7wONVH7cTxm652_-zk…> so please feel free to add any items that you would like for us to discuss:
OJS-DVN Monthly Meeting Agenda 10/21/13
* Dev Update:
* Phil: Anything to add about the API
* Alex/Jen demo of plugin
* Next Steps? Following items were in the grant document
* Conduct internal QA testing of alpha version (timeframe?)
* Setup Journals for testing: Work closely with these journals to assist with the configuration their DVN and workflow (Eleni: this is already in progress), (set up LOCKSS replication?), and ingest any current datasets associated with that journal
* Develop best practices materials for authors, reviewers and editors: Templates for data citation, data review, data availability and replication policy statements will be made available on OJS and Dataverse.
* Journals test functionality (timeframe?): Conduct survey (using google forms?) of beta test participants. List of feedback, bugs, change requests and suggested new functionality from the initial
* journals
* Other items?
Thanks!
Eleni

Hi Phil,
SWORD 2++ was a project rather than a thing. We did some work
analysing various data deposit requirements, and proposing how the
current spec might change to accommodate them.
A summary of the outputs of this work is here:
http://swordapp.org/2012/07/data-deposit-scenarios/
Currently, I'm hoping that there will be a project next year to allow
us to implement these changes to the specification, as there's clearly
a need in the community to address the data deposit issues.
Cheers,
Richard
